BT the Artist, a Dorchester-born, MA-based rapper, songwriter, and performer, is here to connect rap talent and social good from the East Coast.
BOSTON, MA – Coming from a long family legacy of singers and musicians, Bryanne Toney, also known as the freestyle rapper BT the Artist, is ready to show the world that 2021 is #BT2021. BT the Artist’s ultimate goal is to utilize his voice to challenge the perception of East Coast rappers, starting in 2019 with his introductory single “Different” featuring Chef Ried. “Different” is an ode to his journey towards acceptance and having the courage to express yourself.
BT the Artist explains, “If you want to make it in the industry, you have to be different. If you want the opportunity to be great, you have to think great, think different, and be yourself.”
Born and raised in Dorchester, Massachusetts, BT the Artist is passionate motivating people with his inspiring and energetic lap lyrics and music, but most importantly, he is passionate about community activism. In mid-2019, BT the Artist released his EP, “Better Days,” and donated 50 percent of the proceeds from the EP to Boston-based The Base, a non-profit organization that uses the power of baseball to change the game for urban youth.
“I was grateful for the opportunity to support a good cause that helped me become different, that helped me become the driven individual I am today trying to connect the rap game and social good,” says BT.
As his career continues to reach new levels, BT the Artist remains modest and dedicated in perfecting his craft and bringing his fans an authentic sound. “We are out here showing our youth, and the game, that we got a job to do. I got something different that I must prove to the world. I’m inspiring people around the world to follow their dream, so that’s my responsibility. #BThasarrived”
