NRS Cares Program is Helping Provide Underprivileged Children with Holiday Gifts
NEWARK, NJ, December 09, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ — National Retail Solutions (NRS), operator of the leading point-of-sale (POS) platform for independent grocery, convenience, liquor, tobacco, hardware and gas station c-stores, has announced its newest NRS Cares initiative, the donation of toys to Magdalena’s Annual Toy Drive.
As part of its NRS Cares program, National Retail Solutions (NRS) will be collecting children’s toys and gifts up until December 20th, at its Newark, New Jersey headquarters in the IDT building. The gifts will be distributed by volunteers at the Paterson, NJ YMCA, as well as in several local public schools.
“NRS was built specifically to empower independent retailers in urban and underserved neighborhoods,” said Elie Y. Katz, president and CEO of NRS. “We take our work in helping these communities seriously. It is our mission to help the store owners we serve – and their families – to help strengthen independent neighborhood stores and the communities they are serving.”
Says Patricia Rodriguez, founder of Magdalena’s Toy Drive, “We founded this program in memory of my amazing mother, to help children from underprivileged and disadvantaged households to be able to experience the magic of the holiday season. This is our 26th year making so many children happy during the holidays. This year, we hope to sponsor 4,000 kids!”
