Franciscan Sisters Invite Catholic Discerning Women and Young Professionals to Discernment of Spirits Designed for Them

MANITOWOC, WI, May 08, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — Retreat Leader Sister Jacqueline Spaniola and the Sisters designed the retreat at their Wisconsin Holy Family Convent Motherhouse with time for questions and prayerful reflection.

Sr Jackie explained “The Retreats are based on Discernment of Spirits – St. Ignatius’ twenty two rules for discerning a calling and understanding God’s will in one’s life. During the mostly silent retreat, women will learn tools for making intentional and prayerful life decisions.”

Young women have expressed a need for a silent retreat. “I think young women in their twenties and thirties are seeing that they need that quiet that the society is not giving them. They just want some quiet time to really reflect on what God is asking them to do.”
