HUNTSVILLE, AL, May 22, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — David J. Hodge, a partner in the Huntsville-based personal injury law firm of Morris, King & Hodge, P.C., was named a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation late last month, the law firm announced today.
Mr. Hodge’s honor came “in recognition of exemplary dedication to highest principles of the legal profession, commitment to the welfare of society, and support for the ideals, objectives, and work of the American Bar Foundation,” according to a certification issued on April 28.
For over 70 years, the American Bar Foundation has worked to advance justice through research. Membership in the invitation-only organization is limited to 1 percent of all attorneys nationwide, according to the American Bar Foundation’s website.
Mr. Hodge was invited to become a Fellow in the American Bar Foundation in 2019, before being named a Life Fellow in April.
The American Bar Association created the American Bar Foundation in 1952 to serve as an independent center for interdisciplinary research related to legal issues. “We conduct rigorous, empirical research that explores the intersection of law and society — creating insights that underpin today’s most pressing issues and affect millions of people every day,” the organization’s website states.
Mr. Hodge has secured approximately $50 million in verdicts and settlements for his clients in Alabama and across the United States during more than 20 years of practicing law. In addition to the most recent recognition from the American Bar Foundation, Mr. Hodge has received numerous professional honors, such as repeated listings in Super Lawyers magazine and Best Lawyers in America, as well as honors as a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers.
