NK offers a variety of hair services, including highlighting; color; cuts; silk press; and loc maintenance.
“I started off as a loctician, doing hair for everyone in my family,” NK said. “Before I knew it, I was doing other people’s hair. I knew I wanted to keep growing and do more than locs, so I went to school and discovered a newfound love for all things hair,” NK said.
After graduating from the Ogle School’s cosmetology program, NK earned her license, and discovered a newfound love for all things hair, especially healthy hair care. NK said she prides herself on providing flawless styling and personalized beauty experiences tailored to each client’s unique needs.
“I have a keen eye for detail, and a passion for enhancing natural beauty,” NK said. “At The NK Effect, it’s not just about a style—it’s about providing an experience.”
The NK Effect Beauty Bar is currently accepting new clients by appointment only. Hours are from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturdays. To schedule an appointment, visit NK’s booking site.
